My name is Jaclyn and I also answer to Jac, Mama, or even Fish. If you call me Jackie, I may poke your eyeballs out. I have grown two humans in my body, Lucas and Adelaide. You’ll see them a lot in my work. They’re pretty cute. As a kid, one of my many dreams was to be a photographer for National Geographic – for the opportunity to see wild animals close up and travel the world, not so much for the photography. I like animals, which is why I do not eat them. Another childhood dream was living out of the back of a van selling art – my super awesome coloring book pages and drawings of horses. Yeah, I was an excellent drawer of horses, just ask my Grandma. I shoot film. Love it, especially true black and white film. Almost all of my cameras are a decade older than me. You may have noticed my fantastic hair style – don’t be afraid to ask me if you can touch my dreads when we meet, I get that all the time and no, I don’t mind. Yes, I wash them. The holes in my ears? No, they do not hurt. Every morning I eat an orange or seven and drink a cup of coffee. Okay, a whole pot. I know every word to MmmBop by Hanson but cannot carry a tune in a bucket. Musicals make my heart smile, so it’s no surprise I am a Glee junkie. Also a Trekkie. Rainbows and bright colors make me super happy. But really, I just love making photographs of people. It’s what I do.
