I was taking Kristen and Richard’s photo without Nathan but he didn’t want to stay behind me. When he decided to pop through my legs, I snapped a photo and locked him between my legs to keep him out of the way. We ended up falling over on the ground. He thought it was hilarious.
Most of Elise’s friends had their Senior portraits taken by the same studio. The result? Most of Elise’s friends’ Senior portraits look exactly. the. same. As a girl who likes to do things a little differently, she had me do her photos. On a farm. We had a lot of fun, even while stepping around cow remains. No, really, the farm used to be a dairy farm and we happened to find ourselves back in the area where the farmers would take the deceased cattle. It was kind of cool seeing the various old bones scattered (even saw a skull in the woods) but the creepy feeling sort of won out to the cool factor, LOL. Elise is such a pretty girl, it was hard for me to narrow down her gallery and even harder now to just pick a few favorites for the blog!

Mandie and her family invited me into their home last month to photograph their newest addition, Maxson. He reminded me a lot of my own son as a newborn, wanting to nurse, nurse, nurse, whenever Mama was close! We relaxed around the house letting him choose when he was ready for me. Photographing newborns takes a whole lot of patience – good thing they’re my favorite subjects.

My children are so blessed to have a relationship with almost all of their Great Grandparents.

When we were in town for Mandie’s pregnancy photos, Lucas had a chance to explore the little fishing hole behind Grandma and Grandpa’s farm for a little while before Mandie came for her session.
