As much as I complain about the winters here in Michigan, fresh snow sure does make for pretty photographs. Tyler and Kimberly were such good sports during this shoot. The day we could get together was of course, one of the coldest days right after ringing in the new year. And I’m not exaggerating – it was 11° and with the windchill factored in, an absolutely frigid -4°. I give so much credit to Kimberly for standing out in those conditions in a thin and strappy little wedding dress. Of course, I also attribute her ability to handle the cold with a smile to her being Canadian! Even though the session was really short (”Coats and scarfs off, *click click*, “Put them back on, let’s go over here!”) we got some beautiful shots of these two gorgeous people. How delicious are those Fujifilm reds against the white and green?! Love.

Tiffiny and her husband Doug tied the knot over two months ago but they did not hire a professional photographer to capture their wedding. Having just been married myself, I know that one of the main reasons you buy your beautiful gown is for the fabulous photos you can look back on in 20 or 60 years and remember how awesome you looked and what good taste you have! So, I was so thrilled to be able to give her what could have been a missed opportunity. We had such a blast driving around finding different locations to shoot in and Tiffiny was such a good sport about everything!

Do you think maybe, just maybe, I loved using these awesome stairs? They were just too cool and had great lighting!

We really did have so much fun. This is what I got when I told her to show me some sass.. we laughed a lot that day!

And I just loved the contrast between soft and beautiful bride and rough and dirty parking lot here. Thanks, for making my first Bridal session a great one!
