Mandie and her family invited me into their home last month to photograph their newest addition, Maxson. He reminded me a lot of my own son as a newborn, wanting to nurse, nurse, nurse, whenever Mama was close! We relaxed around the house letting him choose when he was ready for me. Photographing newborns takes a whole lot of patience – good thing they’re my favorite subjects.

I told you there would be more of this sweet little guy coming up. The best part? These were all captured on film, which is why it took a bit longer to post. I am so excited for the new direction my work is headed in. ♥

And I can say sneak peek because there will be another post featuring photos from his session. But, that is a little surprise you’re just going to have to sit tight and wait to see. For now, I can’t resist the urge to share some of his sweetness with you all. Newborns are my favorite subjects, even if they are super exhausting!
